Sussex takes measure of homelessness
After a death in Sparta, an effort to meet the needs of single men with no place to go

A month after an indigent man was found dead of hypothermia in Sparta, a count of homeless residents in Sussex County will be conducted next week, and a daylong assistance event — the first of its kind — also will be held.
The fourth survey of homeless residents to be taken in Sussex in the past four years, and the first “Project Homeless Connect” daylong event, will both take place on Jan. 25, under the county’s Comprehensive Emergency Assistance System committee.
