Why is this Important?
Each year on the first Monday in February the President releases a budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year which marks “Opening Day†for the Federal budget process. This budget proposal is the first step in the Congressional process of determining funding levels for ALL federal agencies including homelessness and housing programs.
The President’s budget proposal reflects the priorities of the current administration and is meant to guide Congress during the federal budget and appropriations debate for the year.
Advocacy Opportunities:The Alliance invites you to join the teleconference to learn how you can play a major role in influencing Congress to implement policies that prevent and end homelessness.
