January 29, 2008 is fast approaching and plans for Project Homeless Connect are being finalized across the state. This year’s Project Homeless Connect and Point in Time will be a crucial first step in the development of an annualized count of homeless individuals living in the state of New Jersey. A statewide collaborative of CoC representatives helped to develop a comprehensive survey that will not only provide HUD requested information for CoC applications, but will also serve as a planning tool helping counties focus their efforts and funding in areas where the need is greatest. The new and improved survey is available in a paper format as well as online. Utilizing the survey monkey website, agencies will have the opportunity to input the surveys directly onto the web-based form. Middlesex County has graciously taken on the task of translating the survey into Spanish. The translated version is available for use in all counties.
