Explains how homelessness impacts the entire family!

Brenda Jenkins, one of the speakers at the July 30th 2nd Annual Congressional Reception, spoke with passion about her experience with homelessness. She reminded all who were present that this was something that no one should have to experience. She noted that on Friday August 1, 2008, she would be moving into permanent housing.

More than two hundred formerly homeless people, passionate advocates and housing providers from across the state attended the July 30th event that was sponsored by the New Jersey Advocacy Network to End Homelessness. The event was attended by Senator Menendez who hosted the event. In addition, Senator Lautenberg and Congress members Holt, Ferguson and Pascrell also attended.
