Steven Taylor was one of the speakers at the 2nd Annual Congressional Reception. He spoke forthrightly about his multiple experiences of homelessness. He also spoke about his work with Project Live to outreach to the homeless in Essex County.

He also spoke about the joy and pleasure of having his first home of his own in 12 years.

He inspired the listeners with hope for the future.

More than two hundred formerly homeless people, passionate advocates and housing providers from across the state attended the July 30th event. In addition to Congressman Pascrell the event was attended by Senator Lautenberg Senator Menendez who hosted the event, and Congress members Holt, Pascrell and Ferguson also attended.
