NJ’s Community Mental Health System Changes Lives
Our friends at the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) and Collaborative Support Programs in New Jersey (CSPNJ) have created a three part video “New Jersey’s Community Mental Health System Changes Lives“, paired with a companion message at the end: DO NOT CUT THE COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET!
The video message is three one and a half minute short strips of stories told by consumers who speak of their illness, services that helped them, and their current situation. They are moving success stories not only about our friends with mental illness but also about those who have become homeless.
To watch all three click here.
The following is text from the Mental Health Association in New Jersey website and the first video. Please share with your friends, colleagues and fellow advocates!
Each year over 270,000 people, our families, friends and neighbors who suffer from serious mental illness, receive services from New Jersey’s Community Mental Health System.
Our state tax dollars have funded community services that allow and support RECOVERY for persons with a mental illness.
Please take a few short moments to view Michael, Diane and April’s stories of how New Jersey’s Community Mental Health Services have changed their lives.
Share this message of recovery and the success of New Jersey’s Community Mental Health Services with your family, friends and colleagues, but especially with Governor Corzine and the leadership of the Legislature, urging them…
DO NOT CUT OUR COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM BUDGET!
This advocacy message is brought to you by the
Mental Health Association in New Jersey
and
Collaborative Support Programs in New Jersey (CSPNJ).
