Work Includes Convening’s, Highlighting
Innovative Local PHAs and New Toolkit

The Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) has begun to focus on partnerships with Public Housing Authorities as potential strong partners for creating supportive housing.
CSH’s work includes:
- Partnering with the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) to discuss how public housing authorities (PHAs) can partner with Continuums of Care (CoCs) and other stakeholders to end homelessness;
- Working with the National Association of Counties to host a conference, “Creating Supportive Housing Institutions in Your Counties”;
- Highlighting PHAs working to make communities stronger and healthier places to live beginning with the Chicago PHA; and
- Soon releasing a new PHA toolkit.
With these newly available resources, what can we do in New Jersey to encourage innovative partnerships with PHAs to create supportive housing? Can we share lessons learned at meetings and convening’s and strive for a local NJ PHA to eventually be a national model?
