Save the Date for Webinar; Registration Details TBA
On Friday, September 21, 2012, HUD is hosting a webinar entitled, Building Community Partnerships to Effectively Serve Veterans Experiencing Chronic Homelessness. The session will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This webinar will cover best practices for serving Veterans experiencing chronic homelessness through partnerships established by Veteran Administration Medical Centers (VAMCs) and Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) with community organizations. HUD, VA and United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) have found that including local Continuums of Care (CoCs) as key partners in the implementation of HUD-VASH has been extremely important for VAMCs and PHAs that are quickly and stably housing chronically homeless Veterans.
Speakers presenting during the webinar include:
- Experts on chronic homelessness and CoC programs; and
- Representatives from three HUD-VASH sites discussing how they have effectively partnered with CoCs and homeless service providers in order to better serve the most vulnerable Veterans and to ultimately end Veteran homelessness in their communities.
Details and a link to register for the webinar will be available soon and Monarch will update this post with that information.
