“Building Futures” Report Released
The Supportive Housing Network of New York (the Network) has co-authored a new report on the financing options, development barriers and overall challenges associated with family supportive housing development in New York City.
The paper, “Building Futures: Creating More Family Supportive Housing in New York City,” reflects the key issues explored at a series of panel discussions held in 2011 by the Network, Enterprise Community Partners and the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH).
“Building Futures” offers a number of solutions to the current dearth of family supportive housing in New York City and follows a recent announcement from the City that it intends to double its annual supportive housing production from 500 to 1,000 units.
We hope the policy solutions outlined in this paper will help jump-start the development of family supportive housing across New York City as well as in NJ.
