What Happens When Inmates Come Home?

Can Supportive Housing be Part of the Social Solution?

What Happens When Inmates Come HomeMonarch Housing has reported on supportive housing as a solution for ending the cycle of incarceration.

And that solution is interesting to think about in light of a new documentary film, “Pull of Gravity” funded by the Media in Neighborhoods Group (MING), in Philadelphia,  Pennsylvania.

Seven hundred thousand inmates are released from U.S. prisons each year. And this new film explores, what happens when they come home?

It features three men in different stages of reentry from prison to society, offering compelling insights that can help shape responses from family members, parole officers, law enforcement officials, and the social networks upon which reentry is dependent.
