The Future of Federal Funding for Permanent : The President’s Proposed FY 2009 Budget and Policy Priorities

The Corporation for () is pleased to present our next Hot Topics in audio-conference focused on the and policy priorities. In the coming months, decisions by policymakers will have a critical impact on the future of federal funding for in our communities. You can learn more about what is at stake and how you can make an impact on the decisions that will be made in Washington this year by participating in this audio-conference. This call will focus on the future of federal funding for in the context of the President’s fiscal year 2009 budget. Federal funding for permanent has been critical to communities’ progress toward ending homelessness - and our partners are concerned that the President’s budget proposes deep cuts to homeless services funding and offers an inadequate increase in funding for the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance programs to continue that progress.
