SAMHSA’s FY 2008 ‘Treatment for Homeless’ Grants Audio Conference Online
by Taiisa Telesford Ending Homelessness, Supportive Housing Add commentsOn May 7, 2008 the Corporation for Supportive Housing hosted an audio conference focused on helping prospective applicants learn more about the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) FY 2008 Treatment for Homeless Grants Program.
The Treatment for Homeless Grants Program has $10 million available to enable communities to provide expanded and treatment services for persons who are homeless (including those who are chronically homeless) and who also have substance use disorders, mental disorders, or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. SAMHSA expects to award 25 grants of approximately $400,000 per grant for up to five years. Of this amount, $4.5 million will be available for grants to provide services in supportive housing.
