Ocean County Hosts Successful Housing Summit
by Taiisa Telesford Ending Homelessness, Supportive Housing No Comments »On Friday, June 20, 2008 Ocean County hosted its first Ocean County Workforce Housing Summit. With a wide range of participants, the summit brought together non-profits, local, county, and state government, the religious community and other interested parties to discuss the issue of workforce housing in Ocean County. Held at the Mancini Hall in the Ocean County Library, Toms River Branch, the event was filled to capacity with over 150 attendees.

The day opened with an introduction by Kathy Jaworski, Ocean County HSAC coordinator, and a welcome by Freeholder Gerry Little. Both he and Freehold Director Joseph Vicari spoke about the importance of looking at the issue of workforce housing in Ocean County.
