As Sussex County prepares for its 3rd Annual Project Homeless Connect event, services and giveaways have been expanded. Working through 2 sites within the county, the list of services, agencies and giveaways is ever expanding. Those attending the Project Homeless Connect Event will be treated to haircuts, showers, flu shots and health screenings provided by Public Health Nursing, free dental exams provided by Dr. Sylvia Zika, D.M.D and Social Service screening on-site through the NJHelps website.
Giveaways will include:
• Free Breakfast
• Food Kits provided by the United Way
• Prescription Cards provided by the United Way
• Scarves, hats, gloves, coats and other items provided by the United Way and Pass It Along
• Transit Bus Customer Guides
• Homeless Resource cards and Resource Sheets
• IKEA bags
• Dental Care kits
• Diapers and Wipes provided by CarePoint and Newton Hospital
• Bus Passes

• NJ Department of Labor/One Stop Career Center (employment assistance)
• S.C. Div. of Senior Services (senior programs info & applications)
• S.C. Div. of Social Services (Food stamps & Medicaid applications)

• Social Security (application assistance)

• Interfaith (shelter info & services)
