Housing Production Business Planning Program

This is from the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ Newsletter. Their training courses are excellent and should be considered by those involved in producing permanent, affordable and supportive housing.

Housing Production Business Planning Program: is targeted to staff of member organizations who wish to reach a higher level of affordable housing production. The Business Planning course helps CDCs create a three to five year plan for increasing their affordable housing production and strengthening their housing production systems, resulting in organizations that produce more housing, and sustain more of their operations through the generation of developer fees rather than from grant income.

Workshops, led by Robert Santucci, Senior Consultant of Urban Renovation Consultants, Inc. and the Network’s own Leonard Robbins, include: Introduction to Business Planning – Seven Steps to a Business Plan March 19 – 20, 2007; Financial Forecasting April 23 – 24, 2007; Risk Management & Production Systems May 21 – 22, 2007; and Presentation of Business Plans to potential Funders & Partners June 25 – 26, 2007. Each workshop will be followed by a site visit and one-on-one consultation with the consultants.
