The CAMBA program in New York City will be the focus of the March 8 Leadership to End Homelessness Audio Conference Series. CAMBA is one of the community based organizations implementing New York City’s HomeBase Prevention Program. In a neighborhood with historically high rates of family homelessness, CAMBA is outreaching precariously housed and doubled up families to provide them with the assistance they need to avoid shelter stays and achieve greater housing stability.
Melissa Mowery of CAMBA will be the featured speaker. She will focus on how her organization identifies and outreaches families at risk of entering the shelter system and the services they are offering to reduce the reliance on shelter and stabilize families.
