Rescue Mission of Trenton will celebrate its 90th anniversary

City rescue mission will mark milestone Thursday

TRENTON — The Rescue Mission of Trenton will celebrate its 90th anniversary Thursday with a special “Founders Day Celebration.”

The celebration will see friends and family of the mission join together at 4 p.m. in the mission’s multipurpose room at 98 Carroll St. for “dinner, conversation and a trip down Mission Memory Lane.”

Since 1917, the Rescue Mission has provided services and counseling to homeless and less-fortunate members of the Greater Trenton area.

“For 90 years the Rescue Mission has been working together to rebuild, remake, and reshape lives while creating an environment where one can live with dignity build self-esteem, experience love, responsibility and hope,” the Mission said in a news release.
