The Corporation for Supportive Housing is pleased to present our next Hot Topics in Supportive Housing audio-conference (previously titled First Wednesdays in Supportive Housing), focused on the SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) Initiative and Supportive Housing. This call will provide participants with an overview of the SOAR Initiative and its activities, as well as key issues and strategies for improving access to SSI and SSDI within our communities. In addition, the presenters will discuss strategies that supportive housing practitioners can implement both to improve access to their housing opportunities by improving access to SSI/SSDI and to assist current supportive housing tenants to access the benefits they need to stabilize their lives and to progress toward recovery and independence.
Deborah Dennis, Vice President and SOAR Project Director, Policy Research Associates, Inc. (Delmar, New York); and Yvonne Perret, Executive Director, Advocacy and Training Center (Cumberland, Maryland)
