On Thursday, May 17 and Friday May 18, The House is expected to take up H.R. 1427, GSE Regulatory Reform Legislation. The bill contains a provision to reserve $500 million a year from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as a dedicated source of funding for the National Housing Trust Fund. Call Your Representative and urge him/her to support H.R. 1427, GSE Regulatory Reform Legislation, which includes money for an affordable housing trust fund.
Encourage him/her to:
Vote YES on H.R. 1427.
Vote NO on any amendment to strike the Affordable Housing Fund.
Vote NO on an amendment to strike the language that reserves the funds in the Affordable Housing Fund for the National Housing Trust Fund.
Vote NO on a “motion to recommit” that would send the bill back to the Committee.
