NeighborWorks will host a training institute for community development practitioners and resident leaders Aug. 13-17 in Washington, D.C. The institute will feature more than 90 foundation, intermediate, and advanced level courses in eight different content areas. Other special courses and events include a community organizer’s forum, an advanced lab course in neighborhood revitalization strategy development, and a one-day symposium on leadership success and succession in times of change. Symposium sessions will address such topics as a holistic approach to leadership development, preparing leadership from within, mentorships, and change management.
