Fourteen counties go up, seven go down
On September 30, 2011, HUD published the Final Fair Market Rents for the Housing
Choice Voucher Program and Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy Program Fiscal Year 2012 in the Federal Register. The new Fair Market Rents are effective on October 1, 2011.
There were no changes from the proposed levels that we reported on in an August 21st post.
- Cape May increased by 13.8%.
- Atlantic, Bergen, Cumberland, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren also had increases.
- Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset decreased by 8.6%.
- More modest decreases occurred in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem.
