JazzFest for the Homeless, which will held this Saturday October 15th, at the Salem Roadhouse Café, at 829 Salem Road, Union, NJ (Townley Presbyterian Church), has added an hour to the show as a result of more Jazz musicians wanting to participate in this event.
Doors will open at 4 PM. and JazzFest will begin at 5:00 PM and end at 10:00 PM.
Admission is $15.00 per person, and additional donations will be accepted. Ticket sales have been strong and we encourage you to buy in advance or make reservations today. Food, donated by the University Diner in Union and 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro in Westfield, will be available to buy. All proceeds benefit Monarch Housing Associates, which helps end homelessness.
Thanks to Carrie Jackson, a well-known New Jersey and New York jazz performer, is helping the Roadhouse Café to organize and host the event, and will be lending her amazing vocal talents to the show, three new musicans have been added to JazzFest. They are:
In addition, Alan Rosenthal on piano, Thaddeus Expose on bass, and Earl Grice on drums, who are members of Carrie Jackson and The Jazzin’ All Stars, will be the house band for the evening.
Jazzfest for the Homeless will feature continuous performances by jazz artists from opening to close. Among those performing will be:
