Arnold Cohen, Policy Coordinator for the Network said “It was a great lobby day!” He encouraged the participants and the other concerned parties to continue to advocate for Help to Strengthen Our Communities.
The issues that the group advocated for including the following crucial categories:
Maintain the capacity of federal housing resources to address the housing needs of very low income workers and people on fixed incomes;
Strengthen our economy by building housing that lower income workers, the elderly and disabled can afford; and
Create a robust program to end homelessness.

In addition, the group met with Governor Chris Christie’s Washington staff.
