Monarch, MHANJ and MHAEC Present at NJs Mental Health Experience
The National Zarrow Mental Health Symposium and Mental Health America are hosting their 2012 Annual Conference at the Tulsa Convention Center from September 19-21, 2012. The event will spotlight the achievements of the Tulsa mental health community in applying Housing First approaches to serving people in behavioral health recovery.
Supportive Housing in New Jersey will be well represented at the conference! Monarch Housing Associates is partnering with the Mental Health Association of New Jersey and the Mental Health Association of Essex County in giving a break out session presentation, “Supportive Housing: The Public Policy of Creating Real Housing Options for Real People.” To view the PowerPoint for this workshop click here.
The combined conference will offer a wide array of 50 breakout sessions across 10 tracks ranging from housing development and retention, to recovery-focused sessions that include current research, special populations, social inclusion, and clinical practice.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will sponsor the conference track, “Community Supports and Recovery Services.”
Conference participants can receive 18 continuing education credit hours, including three credit hours of ethics.
