Among the first priorities in the planning include, in the short-term, registering the newly homeless with FEMA and in the long-term, creating permanent housing for displaced families. There is also a need to restore the coastline and invest in regional transit and other infrastructure.
Donovan was quick to point out his New York and New Jersey connections as he “laid out his approach to the federal government’s long-term effort during a visit to a disaster relief center in New Jersey…”
Clearly qualified to lead this enormous effort, Monarch Housing Associates hopes that Donovan’s appointment is a positive sign for the future of affordable housing and ending homelessness in New Jersey.
