Is Your County Planning a Homeless Persons Memorial Day?
The Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness will host Mercer County’s Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Please join providers, advocates and others in remembering their homeless brothers and sisters who died.
The event will begin with an 8:30 a.m. Breakfast for the Homeless followed by a 10:00 a.m. Service and will take place at Turning Point United Methodist Church, 15 South Broad Street, Trenton.
Is your community planning a Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day? Please let Monarch Housing know about your event and we will help publicize it on our website.
In an effort to maximize the impact of the day, the national co-sponsors encourage local and statewide organizations to hold memorials of their own. Last year, more than 152 cities, including 6 New Jersey cities/counties, across the nation sponsored events to honor those who had died and to recommit to the task of ending homelessness.
