Melendez Welcomes Audience and Offers Morning of Information

The Art of Thriving:  Today and TomorrowOn December 11, 2012, Investors Bank held their third annual not-for-profit conference, “The Art of Thriving: Today and Tomorrow.” The half-day conference featured an introduction and welcoming remarks from Ada Melendez, VP and Director of Community Development for Investors, who is also on Monarch Housing’s Board of Directors.

Other highlights of the morning included a Keynote Presentation from Steve Audobato, author of You Are the Brand and workshops on the following topics:

  1. Public/Private Partnerships,
  2. Social Media: Success Stories and Tools, Budgeting and Financial Planning, and Current
  3. Grantmaker Strategies and Trends.

“Especially for non-profits, it (branding) is about how everyone in the organization communicates to key stakeholders, opinion leaders, and those in the position to influence the organization’s destiny.”
