NJ Sets Up Website to Monitor CDBG-DR Funds
NJ has established a website to provide information on how the money can be accessed and how it is being spent.
For Housing Assistance Programs the site states:
Rebuilding New Jersey’s homes, businesses and infrastructure devastated by Superstorm Sandy will be one of the biggest challenges ever faced by this State. But New Jerseyans never give up when faced with adversity. The DCA Sandy Recovery Division and its partners are here to help New Jersey’s citizens recover from the storm. We welcome your feedback.
The Division manages the majority of the federal funds that will be used to assist the State in recovering from the storm. These funds come from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Division is committed to efficiently and effectively addressing the long-term needs of New Jersey’s Sandy-impacted residents and communities.
In addition to the website this number – 1-855-726-3946 – has been set up for homeowners, renters, developers and landlords request help.
