Now Is the Time for Rental Assistance Reform

Join Us to Make It Happen

Now Is the Time for Rental Assistance Reform Please join Monarch Housing Associates and a broad cross-section of stakeholders in affordable housing in seeking enactment of key rental assistance reforms based largely on the Affordable Housing and Self-Sufficiency Improvement Act (AHSSIA) discussion draft from the previous Congress by reviewing and signing your organization onto the letter to Senator Robert Menendez.

It urges Senate Banking Committee to take action to enact rental assistance reform legislation early in 2013, particularly in light of current budget challenges and uncertainties.

This letter intends to show the broad and diverse support for these core reforms and is focused on bringing on board organizations with interests in enabling assisted housing agencies to more effectively and efficiently serve vulnerable populations. We are seeking organizational signatures as opposed to individual people.

Download/print a PDF of the national letter, read an overview of the reforms sought, and check out the FAQ on rental assistance reform.
