SHA Announces Unsung Heroes ConferenceThe Supportive Housing Association of New Jersey (SHA) will hold its annual New Jersey Supportive Housing conference on Friday, December 6, 2013 in New Brunswick. The theme of this year’s conference is “The Unsung Heroes of Supportive Housing” and the event will focus on the people who work behind the scenes day in and day out to drive the industry forward, from line staff to policy makers.

The New Jersey Supportive Housing Conference brings together all facets of the supportive housing industry, including service providers, builders, government officials, families and consumers to share ideas and build the relationships necessary to bring innovative solutions to improve and increase supportive housing in New Jersey.

Attendees include supportive housing and homeless service providers; affordable housing developers and financiers; advocates of supportive housing, affordable housing and permanent housing for special needs populations; housing property managers and onsite staff; architects, engineers, and local and state government officials as well as families and consumers.

Do you know an innovator, leader, staff member, agency or consumer who has made a positive impact on supportive housing? Is there someone you know who works day in and day out to improve the lives of others and deserves special recognition? Is someone in your agency or company breaking new ground in the area of supportive housing? The Unsung Heroes of Supportive Housing Video Contest is your chance to let them shine!

Winning videos will be screened at the 2013 Supportive Housing Conference on December 6, and will be posted on the SHA website.
