Join Monarch Housing and NLIHC
in DC April 27 – 30
The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) is pleased to announce that HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan will deliver a keynote address at our 2014 conference.
Registration is now open for IMAGINE: NLIHC’s 2014 Housing Policy Conference and Lobby Day, which will take place Sunday, April 27 through Wednesday, April 30 in Washington, DC. Early registration closes on February 2.
The NLIHC and Monarch Housing invites you to join us in imagining a time when no parent has to choose between rent and buying a child’s winter coat, when no family has to sleep in a car, when no senior has to fear eviction, when no one with a disability who can live independently is consigned to an institution, when poor families can choose where they want to live, and when we no longer need emergency shelters.
Advocates, providers, residents, and policy professionals from across the country will come together at NLIHC’s Annual Conference. To mark NLIHC’s 40th anniversary, the conference will look back at the past 40 years of low-income housing, and move forward with solving the housing challenges of the lowest income Americans.
The conference culminates with a Lobby Day where attendees will head to the Hill to take action and tell their legislators what their communities need.
As in previous year’s Monarch Housing will be working with the Housing and Community Development Network (HCDNNJ) on Lobby Day on April 30th. During Lobby Day we will meet with Members of Congress and their staff to make a meaningful impact on affordable housing policy.
NLIHC members and low-income attendees receive discounted registration rates.
