Increase Funding for Housing Programs

Help Ensure THUD Appropriations
Have Highest Possible Funding

Increase Funding for Housing ProgramsLast year, over 2,400 organizations signed a letter supporting increasing the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) 302(b) allocation – the funding allocation for subcommittees that determines how much funding is available for HUD programs in FY15.

Adequate 302(b) allocations are critical in ensuring that the THUD Subcommittees have the resources they need to fully fund all housing programs.

House and Senate appropriators need to hear from you! Please join Monarch Housing and other housing, community development, and transportation advocates from around the NJ and the country by signing a letter urging the highest possible 302(b) allocations.

Please join with Monarch Housing and sign on to the letter and share the letter with organizations in your network and encourage them to join you in signing it.

The deadline to sign the letter is Wednesday, March 12.

Members of Congress noted the significance of the letter. It made a positive impact on the amount of funding available for transportation and housing programs. The House and Senate Committees on Appropriations will soon decide how much funding each appropriations subcommittee will receive in FY15.
