HUD Briefing March 4 at 3 PM
NAEH and NLIHC Webinars
Housing and Urban Development (HUD as well as the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) and the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) will be holding briefings and/or webinars on the proposed budget this week.
- HUD will be holding a briefing of the budget on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at 3 PM. his event will also be webcast and can be seen at the following link that will go live about 15 minutes before the broadcast. There is no need to RSVP if you plan to join via webcast.
- On Wednesday march 5, 2014, at 2 PM, the NLIHC will hold a webinar on The President’s FY15 Budget Request for Rental Housing Programs. National Low Income Housing Coalition staff will provide a review of the President’s FY15 budget request for HUD and USDA Rural Development programs that serve the lowest income households with rental housing. The webinar will describe the President’s funding request, policy proposals, and other budgetary challenges for FY15. NLIHC will discuss steps for advocates to take with their Members of Congress and other advocacy efforts. The presentor will be the NLIHC’s Melissa Quirk, Senior Policy Analyst. - On Thursday, March 6 at 1:30 pm ET, the NAEH will host a webinar to review the Budget Proposal. During the webinar, presenters from the Alliance will review the federal budget process, analyze the Administration’s proposed funding levels for federal affordable housing and targeted homelessness programs, and provide information on this year’s McKinney Appropriations Campaign, which will be launched in conjunction with the webinar.
