Concerned About Federal Housing Issues?
Attend Lobby Day 2014 and Be Heard in DC!
Housing Lobby Day 2014 will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The Housing and Community Development Network (the Network) and Monarch Housing are coordinating a group from New Jersey to participate in the National Low Income Housing Coalition’s (NLIHC) national Housing Lobby Day.
Now more than ever our members of Congress need to hear from us! Join us in DC!
The Network is organizing New Jersey advocates and consumers to meet with our Congressional representatives about housing issues. It is critical that New Jersey’s delegation hear directly from Garden State residents about ways the federal government can help solve the affordable housing crisis and end homelessness.
The Network will schedule the meetings, prepare materials and provide training for participants. We will help coordinate transportation if needed. All we need is you!
Join us in DC at noon and be on the road home by 4:00 pm. There is no charge to participate.
The 2014 Lobby Day is the culmination of NLIHC’s Annual Policy Conference, held April 27-30, 2014. Highlights of this year’s conference include:
- Keynote speaker: HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan
- A wide array of workshops including: homelessness, housing for people with disabilities, foreclosures, preservation, low income housing tax credit, CDBG, public housing, National Housing Trust Fund etc.
