Five NJ Congressman Support Increased HUD Funding

Sign on to Dear Colleague Letters

Congressman Rush HoltU.S. Representatives Rush Holt, William Pascrell, Frank Pallone, and Albio Sires have signed on to U.S. Rep Gwen Moore’s (D-WI-4) “Dear Colleague” congressional letter expressing their support for $2.405 billion in funding for HUD’s McKinney-Vento homeless assistance programs in FY 2015.

Congressman Bill PascrellU.S. Reps. Pascrell and Sires signed Rep. Jerold Nadler’s Dear Colleague letter supporting increased funding for Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV.) In order to restore all lost HCV due to sequestration, HUD needs an additional $320 million above the President’s budget request.

The two have also signed onto U.S. Reps. Michael Grimm, Al Green, and Mike Michaud’s letter to support the President’s request of $75 million for 10,000 new HUD-VASH vouchers.

Congressman Albio SiresU.S. Reps. Pascrell, Donald Payne, Jr. Pallone, and Sires have signed on to U.S. Rep. Marcia Fudge’s Dear Colleague letters on the HOME Program. The letter requests a return to fiscal year 2011 levels of $1.6 billion for the HOME Program which is an increase over the President’s request of $950 million.
