Senate Considers Donovan for OMB Hearing Scheduled for Castro for HUD
On June 11, 2014, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee considered the nomination of HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan for the position of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director.
Later the same day, the Senate Committee on the Budget also held a hearing on Secretary Donovan’s nomination. President Barack Obama nominated Secretary Donovan to replace former OMB Director Sylvia Mathews Burwell, who was confirmed as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
On June 17, 2014, the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, and Related Agencies will hold a confirmation hearing for President Barack Obama’s nominee for HUD Secretary, San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro.
Mayor Castro would replace current HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan who the President has nominated to head the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
