Changing Attitudes, Changing Laws, Changing Lives
On Thursday, December 4, 2014, the Anti-Poverty Network will hold its Annual Anti-Poverty Summit. “Changing Attitudes, Changing Laws, Changing Lives” will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Monroe.
This year’s Summit will address the question of how to win the War on Poverty in a number of ways.
The agenda will include:
- Keynote Speaker, Dr. Kasturi Dasgupta from Georgian Court College, reviewing the lessons available from the past 50 years of social policies, and
- Two workshop sessions that will provide opportunities to build practical advocacy skills and then apply them to concrete advocacy opportunities.
Registration begins at $25 for individuals. Scholarship opportunities are available if this fee is a barrier.
