American Community Survey Five-Year Estimates Available

U.S. Census Bureau Releases 2009-2013 Data

U.S. CENSUS BUREAU LOGOThe Census Bureau has released the 2009-2013 American Community Survey (ACS) five-year estimates.

The 2009-2013 ACS five-year estimates are available at the county subdivision, census tract and block group level. This is the first year that block group level data will be available through the Census Bureau’s American FactFinder website.

The Census Bureau also released a few other items:

  • A new edition of Census Explorer interactive maps.
  • The 2011-2013 ACS three-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS). PUMS files contain records on a subsample of housing units and information from the ACS questionnaire.

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing statistical survey by the U.S. Census Bureau, sent to approximately 250,000 addresses monthly (or 3 million per year.
