Evidence Supports Assessment
As Key To Ending Assessment
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (the Alliance) has posted a report on its website, “Assessment Tools for Allocating Homelessness Assistance: State of the Evidence.”
The report summarizes a discussion by a panel of experts on tools that communities are using to allocate homeless assistance.
During a November 5, 2014 discussion, speakers examined the evidence supporting the use of such assessment tools as well as the questions used in the tools.
The Alliance, in partnership with the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD’s) Office of Policy Development and Research, hosted the expert panel.
