100,000 Homes Campaign Reduces HomelessnessIn a recently published report examining data from the 100,000 Homes Campaign and national data on homelessness, the Urban Institute found that the Campaign made a national impact in reducing homelessness.

In July 2014, Community Solutions concluded the Campaign, having helped participating communities house 105,580 people in 186 communities.

Launched by the nonprofit Community Solutions, the Campaign employed a grassroots approach to invigorate local communities to reach its goal of housing the 100,000 most vulnerable homeless individuals and families.

According to the report, the Campaign recruited nearly every major city, and communities that participated in the campaign were more successful in reducing homelessness than nonparticipating communities.
