Creating More Homes NJ Residents Can Afford

Revitalizing Neighborhood Communities

Governor ChristieGovernor Christie and state legislators are considering the fiscal year (FY) 2016 New Jersey State Budget.

We need to make sure they invest in our state by creating more homes that New Jersey residents can afford and revitalizing neighborhoods in our communities.

The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey (the Network) is circulating a letter to the Governor and legislators, urging them to:

  • Provide $31 million in funding for the State Rental Assistance Program through the general revenues,
  • Preserve $21 million of the NJ Affordable Housing Trust Fund for housing production, and
  • Increase funding for the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program from $10 million to $30 million annually.

Monarch Housing Associates was proud to add its name to this letter. The deadline to endorse this letter is Monday, June 1, 2015.
