Last Video in NLIHC’s Five-Part Series
Focuses on Homeownership
The last video in the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC)’s Five-Part series focuses on homeownership.
Up to 10% of a state’s National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) allocation can be used for homeownership activities.
This fifth video explains how the NHTF can be used to:
- Build, rehab, or preserve housing for homeownership for very low income households and
- Help very low -income homeowners with down payment or closing cost assistance and to buy or rehabilitate manufactured housing.
Getting to Know the National Housing Trust Law and Regulations is a five-part series, produced by NLIHC, which explains why the NHTF is necessary and why the focus is on ELI renters, describes how the funds will be distributed to states, emphasizes opportunities for advocates to influence how their state allocates the funds, and provides detailed information about how the funds can be used.
