Division Gains Strong Manager
Policymaker and Advocate

Valerie MielkeThe New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) has announced that Valerie Mielke will become the new Assistant Commissioner for the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Valerie joined the Department in the then Division of Mental Health Services in 2004, coming from the provider community. She holds a BA from Fairfield University and an MSW from Rutgers, New Brunswick.

“Given her vast experience in the community and with the Division, I am confident our consumers, providers and the Department will find a strong manager, policymaker and advocate in Val.”
