Bring Awareness to Your Community
This year, National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week #NHHAW will be held from November 14-22, 2015. This Awareness Week is held each year the week before Thanksgiving.
This is a time to remember what we are thankful for and a perfect time to share our compassion with our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. Last year, over 750 communities across the country participated.
Wealth inequality in America has been growing exponentially and unfortunately, more and more Americans are facing the harsh reality of poverty. Participating in National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week brings greater awareness to your community and helps to end hunger and homelessness.
The National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH) organizes this annual week and will be holding a series of calls to answer questions about event planning, new resources, and the issues:
- Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 4:00 pm
- Monday, November 2, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
To participate on the calls, please call: (209) 647-1000 and use the access code: 376071
