and Others Speak at Event
Over 400 people attended the Supportive Housing Association (SHA) of New Jersey’s conference on December 4, 2015 at the Renaissance Hotel in Iselin, NJ for a day long networking and educational event all devoted to housing and supports for people with disabilities.
The conference featured 10 workshopshttp://www.shanj.org/news-events/conference/2015-presentations covering topics including “Inspiration from the 2015 Supportive Project and Innovation Award Winners” featuring Kilmer Homes Developer.
The day provided networking and educational to attendees devoted to housing and supports for people with disabilities.
SHA was pleased to have
- Commissioner Elizabeth Connolly, NJ Department of Human Services
- Commissioner Charles Richman, Department of Community Affairs, and
- Assemblywoman Valerie Huttle, Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee participate as guest speakers.
Other highlights included Dr. Jeffrey Brenner making a key note entitled “Housing is the Best Pill” and Jeff Lacey of the Garden State Leaders Program speaking about being homeless.
