CSH Releases 2015 Housing Credit Policies Report

CSHCSH has released The Housing Credit Policies in 2015 that Promote Supportive Housing.

It reviews key policy changes in state Housing Finance Authorities Qualified Allocation Plans (QAP) in supporting the creation of affordable housing developments with supportive services. It highlights that the number of Housing Credit Agencies providing scoring incentives, threshold requirement, set asides units increased in 2015.

The report highlights New Jersey’s 2013 QAP, used in 2015, which offers supportive housing projects potential competitive scoring advantages and a special set-aside, although they can compete in any of the agency’s four cycles.

The report discusses a new policy approach to the commitment of housing credit agency resources to provide early or increase access to permanent supportive housing.
