Walk With Monarch Housing for Wellness and Recovery

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, the 9th annual Walk for Wellness and Recovery will take place in Nomahegan Park in Cranford.

The event will benefit the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) and Monarch Housing Associate is proud to once again partner with MHANJ in this event.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) New Jersey is also a partner.

The Alpert GroupThe Alpert Group has been a partner with Monarch on various projects including Kilmer Homes, Eva’s Village as well as others.

They are one of the premier developers of affordable and supportive housing in NJ. This partnership has been mutually beneficial to both parties.

Suede Promotions partnered with Monarch on the development of Homes for Heroes an 18-unit housing project for homeless veterans in Union City. Their leadership and commitment was crucial to completing this project to help end homelessness for veterans.

Triple C Housing, Inc. (Triple C), provides affordable housing, residential care and community based support services to individuals diagnosed with a disability and/or co-occurring conditions, individuals who are homeless or at risk, and individuals and families impacted by Superstorm Sandy. The goal of Triple C is to enlist public and private sectors support in developing safe, decent and affordable housing for individuals with the greatest need so they may live independently with dignity in their communities.

The schedule for the event is as follows:

  • 8:30 a.m. – Registration
  • 9:30 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
  • 10:00 a.m. – Walk Starts

$25 walk registration fee ($30 day of registration).
Children and dogs are welcome.

Last year more than 300 people participated in the Walk for Wellness and Recovery on Saturday November 7th.
