Register Today to Attend the 2017 Congressional Reception on July 26th in DC
In just over two weeks on July 26, 2017, we will be hosting the 2017 Congressional Reception in Washington DC. A lot of the earlier blog posts had information about the reception but we thought that it would be it would be informative to sum it all up in a post.
First of all, if you are still interested in attending, please register with the link below. This will ensure that we can get you a seat on the bus.
Additionally, this will make sure that we have a correct head count to tell the members of congress. It you do not come, neither will your member of congress. Even if you are not going by bus we need you to register so we can know how many people attend and to order enough food.
Second, please take a moment, once you have registered to tell your member of congress that you will be coming. Share that you will be attending this important event on your social media. Contact information for all of the members is on the sidebar or in our Advocacy Toolkit.
If you would like to publicize this further, please email us as we have other graphics we can share.
The post about the bus stops can be found here. There are many stops around the state so please select the one that is the most convenient for you when you register and we will try to correspond you with that bus.
- Each bus is set to leave very early, around 6:30 am, so please plan for an early morning.
- In the coming weeks, look forward to a call from one of the members of the Monarch team confirming your attendance and bus selection.
As the final days before the event come closer and closer, we are hoping to hear from more members of congress that they will be attending.
As of the last update we have a several confirmed members attending.

All of the details of the day are exciting, but the most important part of the event it having your voice be heard. The theme for the event is “No Housing Cuts”. This is important giving the majorly devastating cuts that many Americans rely upon.
If you agree with us and believe that housing is a right not a privilege, there are still a few spots left for motivated and passionate individuals.
