If you are still interested in attending, please register with the link belowbefore 6 PM on Thursday July 20th. This will ensure that we can get you a seat on the bus.
Additionally, this will make sure that we have a correct head count to tell the members of congress. It you do not come, neither will your member of congress. Even if you are not going by bus we need you to register so we can know how many people attend and to order enough food.
Once you have registered to tell your member of congress that you will be coming. Share that you will be attending this important event on your social media. Contact information for all of the members is on the sidebar or in our Advocacy Toolkit.
July 26 will be a very exciting day for all of us in Washington and the most important part of the event it having your voice be heard and sharing the theme and message “No Housing Cuts.”
Advocates attending the Congressional Reception will be able to use Facebook and Twitter to check in for the event and let friends and followers and elected officials know that you are at the Congressional Reception.
There will be also be an opportunity via Facebook Live to tell your elected officials why you are in Washington, D.C. When you arrive at the Congressional Reception, there will be a way for you to sign up to share your story on Facebook Live!
Photos are a great way for you to share that you are headed to or in Washington DC. The buses will be equipped with photo props and we will have those same props at the reception as well.
Take a minute to take a photo with your friends and colleagues, post it on Facebook, Twitter or other social media, tag your elected officials and use the hashtags #NoHousingCuts, #NJHillDay and #OurHomesOurVoices – a picture tells a thousand words!
All of the details of the day are exciting, but the most important part of the event it having your voice be heard. The theme for the event is “No Housing Cuts”. This is important giving the majorly devastating cuts that many Americans rely upon.
If you agree with us and believe that housing is a right not a privilege, there are still a few spots left for motivated and passionate individuals.
