The Center for Evidence-based Solutions to Homelessness is a new resource dedicated to synthesizing and explaining the key research insights needed to end homelessness. The National Alliance to End Homelessness (the Alliance) partnered with Abt Associates to build the Evidence Base.
The Evidence Base is a collection of research briefs that cover key areas in the study of homelessness, including:
- children and families,
- chronic homelessness,
- rapid re-housing,
- veterans, and
The expertise brought together at the Center for Evidence-based Solutions to Homelessness covers all major areas that comprise the field of homelessness. These major areas include the diverse populations of people who experience homelessness:
- from military veterans and
- people with chronic patterns of homelessness
- to families with children and unaccompanied youth-and
- the policies and programs that are intended to serve these different groups.
The information presented here represents syntheses of the evidence on four topics. Other topics will be covered as the Center’s experts complete work on them.
It is the intention of the National Alliance to update all the material periodically as new research is completed and results are published.
